ABSTRACTS AND PROCEEDINGS OF ICHMS'2009 CONFERENCE

The authors should submit a two-page Extended Abstract with one or two key figures by mail and by E-mail: shurzag@materials.kiev.ua which clearly states: Objectives, Methods, Results and Conclusions. The abstracts must include full mailing address, telephone, fax and E-mail. The Book of Extended Abstracts of accepted contributions will be published for distribution to delegates at the conference in Yalta and registration fee for participants includes one copy of this Book of Extended Abstracts.

The Conference Proceedings, devoted to hydrogen topics, will be published as a special issue of International Journal of Hydrogen Energy (IJHE), the official journal of International Association for Hydrogen Energy. The selected papers with carbon orientation will be published in the Journal "Carbon". Three copies of full papers should be submitted to the Program Committee during registration in Yalta. Submitted full papers will be peer-reviewed.

LOCATION

Yalta is the recognized capital of Black Sea resorts of Crimea, the southernmost part of Ukraine, rich in natural and artificial tourist attractions. There are not many corners in the world which could be compared to Yalta in riches and a variety of curative forces of the nature. The caressing sea and sun, salubrious air of highlands forests, sources of mineral water promotes unforgettable rest in Yalta. Many creative people rush here not only for the health, but also for the inspiration.

The traditional international festivals of art, such as the Fireworks Festival, “Velvet Autumn”, International Folklore Festival, “Crystal Dolphin”, “Evenings of Chamber Music”, International Pushkin and Chekhov Days, unveil in Yalta every year.



CONFERENCE VENUE AND FACILITIES

The conference sessions will take place in the conference-hall of “Yalta-Intourist” Hotel, where participants will be accommodated. The conference hall is fully equipped with computer display projectors. There will be a small computer center with access to the Internet.



ACCOMMODATION

The Hotel Complex “Yalta-Intourist” is situated in the beautiful Massandra park, facing the sea and is approximately 20 minutes walk from the city centre and Yalta’s embankment.

The accommodation of all conference delegates will be at the “Yalta” Hotel for the nights of August 25-31, 2009, except when participants shall request different dates. Please, plan your travel accordingly or inform us and hotel manager of alterations during the accommodation reservation.

The “Yalta” Hotel Complex offers 1149 excellent rooms for accommodation and the breakfast and lodging costs range from approximately 50 to 200 Eur per day depending on the type of room. All the rooms are comfortable and carefully furnished.

The Registration Desk, where advanced and on-site registrants may pick up their conference material shall operate at the main entrance of “Yalta” building.

The Special Rates on lodging and hotel services for ICHMS’2009 participants, who timely registered and payed the Registration fees before May 10, 2009, will be established and freezed in March, 2009 on the level of these prices on August, 2009 (the conference working days). These lodging costs will be stable only for these delegates and shall vary with inflation for whose who didn’t register before May 10, 2009.




TRANSPORTATION

Scheduled and charter flights are performed from “Simferopol International Airport” to more than 70 airports of Ukraine, CIS and other countries. Delegate can easily reach Simferopol (SIP) by plane with direct flights from Frankfurt, Instanbul, Moscow, Tel-Aviv, Tashkent and Yerevan. Numerous direct flights from Kiev (Borispol) are also available. Some of data about international flights timetable, routes, prices may be found at “Ukraine International Airlines” website. Simferopol may also be reached by train from Kiev (takes approx 15 hours). Yalta is 83 km from Simferopol. Although it may be reached by regular bus or taxi from either airport or railway station, we URGENTLY recommend that you let the LOC and manager know your itinerary in order to arrange group transportation from Simferopol to the conference site.



ORAL AND POSTER PRESENTATIONS

ICHMS'2009, as the last years, will offer a high quality Scientific Programme with an exciting selection of invited speaker lectures featuring some of the world’s leading experts in the field. Submitted abstracts will be selected for oral presentation and poster sessions. The authors are kindly asked to prepare their contributed works following the instructions below.

The plenary lectures will last 30 min. in total, of which the final 5 min. will be devoted to discussion. The duration of the oral contributions will be 20 min., including also 5 min. for questions. The speakers can use the auxiliary equipment, as computer with a computer projector.

The speakers will be provided with a radio-microphone and a laser pointer enabling free mobility.

Each poster session will last two hours and authors are expected to be present at his/her poster all the time according to the ICHMS'2009 Program. The poster board of the size of 1m wide and 1.2 m height will be available for each poster. Posters must be displayed no later than 2 p.m. on the day of the presentation, and must be removed the next day before 12.00 noon.



CONFERENCE BADGE

Participants will receive a badge upon registration. Admission to the Conference & Exhibition area and/or to the social activities is possible only with a valid badge.

Badges must be worn throughout the ICHMS’2009 conference and at social activities.
